Covert Human Intelligence Gathering
Brought to Book
A household name CEO of a large high street and online retailer felt uneasy when they learned one of their former residential employees had been asking other members of their staff about sensitive private information. The CEO suspected the ex-staff member might be gathering information to sell to a tabloid newspaper and sought our assistance. We discovered the ex-employee had gone one step further. They were actually writing a book about the CEO, including very private details about an entirely private health matter. We obtained a copy of a draft manuscript and a synopsis which had been offered to a red-top newspaper for serialisation. This enabled our client to instruct lawyers and obtain an injunction against the ex-employee, which was also served on the newspaper.
